NTT Data announced the outline of their BizCloud

Jan.22 – NTT Data announced the outline of the cloud service "BizCloud" which is due to be provided formally from April. In this service, the shift to a private type cloud system will be supported. In addition, a part of services are preceded and begun from February. New service is public cloud service named "the cloud platform service" provided based on the service developed with NTT and NTT Communications.  Furthermore, it consists of two of "cloud construction and employment services" which offers construction of the environment centering on a private type cloud system, shift support, operation management and so on.

Otsuka cooperates with KDDI in their private cloud businesses

Jan.22 – Otsuka made a formal announcement to cooperating in the cloud computing business with KDDI which provides software and data services via a network. Otsuka combines the cloud system in their data center and the communications service of KDDI, and makes unitary offer. Otsuka aims a order received from 1500 companies, as their main target small and middle businesses, in the first year.

Softbank supplies "White Plan" into the Japanese cloud market

KDDI Web Communications will shake hands with Google

NTT Data Intra Mart and NTT Com will deliver cloud style mail services

Jan.13 – NTT Data Intra Mart announced to deliver cloud style mail services based on the NTT Com’s “Biz Mail.” It will be associated with a groupware named “Intranet Start Pack” on their “Intra Mart.” The customers will get 10GB of disk space, and will be able to use some of mobile phone including NTT Docomo, Softbank, AU and so on.

NTT Smart Connect shakes hands with Ooyala

NTT Data announced to launch a joint venture in Tianjin China

Jan.4. – The company announced to launch a cloud financial company with Yucheng Technologies in Tianjin of China. Stock share will be at 51% of NTT Data and 49% of  Yucheng Technologies.  Yucheng has already come on NASDAQ, and provided Internet banking solutions across in the China continental. The new company will take this Internet banking services from Yucheng Technologies, and will move it into the cloud. It’s a piece of NTT Data’s China strategy.

Softbank BB announced an e-Learning system on the cloud

Dec.28 – The company announced to launch an e-Learning system named “A’OMAI” on the cloud, and will deliver the service on Feb. 2010. It will utilize White Cloud HaaS of Softbank Telecoms, and will provide deliver, progress and history management for LMS(Learning Management Systems). It’s minimum charge will be at 3 dollars/month.

The company aims to get a million customers and five hundred dollars of sales by 2013.

Fujitsu dives into the Asian Market with Singapore Telecoms

Dec.24 – The company answered to the interviews of Mainichi Newspaper, and talked about their Asian cloud plan. In the plan, Fujitsu will provide some of cloud services including Business Management, Medical and any other cloud services. Google, Cables and the Future of the Web

Dec.14 – Rich Miller – Why is Google investing in a second undersea telecommunications cable project? For Google, this move is all about the future of the Internet and laying the foundations for an infrastructure that will track the network’s growth.

Last Thursday Google said it would team with KDDI, Bharti Airtel, Reliance to build a $400 million submarine cable that will connect the Asia Pacific region, dubbed Southeast Asia Japan Cable (SJC).

Google invests 360 million to Asian marine cable

Nov.11- The company announced to build the marine cable from Singapore to Japan, and will not only to use it, but also provide major Japanese Internet providers including NTT group. KDDI also joins into this project, and build 8300 km of cable with companies in Hong Kong and India. This line will have 23 Tera bps of speed. Furthermore, Google and KDDI will invest to another marine cable between United Stats and Japan.

NTT Data announced to launch "BizCloud"

Softbank Telecoms announced to launch cloud services named "White Cloud"

Nov.18 – The company announced to provide two of cloud services : White Cloud Shared HaaS and White Private HaaS. In addition, some of companies in Softbank Group will deliver any cloud services with brand name “White Cloud” on that infrastructure, the company added.

Kadokawa_GDH and NTT agreed to start cloud content businesses

NTT Docomo launched PETA mining system

Nov.1 – The company has started the peta mining project  and built facilities named “Social Brain” with 200 servers last July. In this project, Docomo will address to analysis large data for city planning and improve traffic network, with it’s real-time population research.

However, it’s in the experimentation phase, and will need some other factors, the company added.

Oct.15 – IDG Japan announced a sales prospecting for security service market of national telecommunication fields. In this report, the scale of the market will grow up to 3 billion dollars – 20% growth against to the previous year.

NTT Communication will launch a cloud services as free trial

Oct.8 – NTT Communication announced to start the free trial of their virtual hosting service named “Green Hosting Basic”. As the first step, the company will launch SETTEN (connection in Japanese and former BizCITY) based services form Oct.15.

The services will provide the high availability, based on robust datacenters and live migrations in failed, powered by Linux KVM.

NTT Communications will launch their cloud "Biz Mail"

NTT Communications will launch a cloud mail services for Japanese enterprises named "Biz Mail" on Oct. 1. In the services, each of users will have the some of facilities including storage between 2GB and 10 GB, mail search, attached files and Web mail. Furthermore, users will be able to access to maps through the clicking addresses in mail body.

The price of this service will be at $7 per month, bit less than Microsoft Exchange Services and others in Japanese market. However, customers who have account numbers under 1000 will need the additional cost. NTT Communication wants have over 100 customers by March end of 2010.
